dblo Associates will be at the Grand Designs Live show in May

DBLO after

Creative living at its best!

This small terraced cottage in South West London is a gem of a project – humble and modest at a glance, with the potential to sparkle. Commissioned by a visitor to last year’s Grand Designs Live, the Architects responsible for making ‘the worst house on the street’ shine, were Grand Designs Live London based exhibitors DBLO Associates architects Fulham.

Folding glass doors replaced the exterior kitchen wall, small window and door – allowing light and life to seamlessly flow through the house from outside in and vice versa and creating a flush floor threshold with the same floor finish inside and outside. The highly insulated extension with cedum green roof incorporates western red cedar timber cladding, which frames the glass opening – maintaining the nostalgia and personality of the cottage, whilst adding new contemporary and eco credentials to the property. Given a limited budget and the fact that it had to include a first floor extension, two bathrooms and full redecoration, the design team sought to use readily available, affordable materials and products including tiles, flooring and lighting. ‘The kitchen came from IKEA and the tiles from Topps Tiles’- Claire Hale (Partner) – which kept cost low whilst cleverly detailed style remained high and resulted in this flexible and bespoke living space which will be enjoyed year round during family time and for entertaining.

DBLO before

DBLO architects Clapham worked closely with the client to make their Grand Design a reality – proving that budget doesn’t have to be an obstacle, that with good interpretation of your clients brief, an innovative approach and imagination – you can achieve a grand solution that suits you. The total cost for this project excluding VAT came in at £145,000.

DBLO Associates Architects will be exhibiting at the show in May. Find them in Grand Build stand B21

How to maintain healthy sexual relationships

What is sex therapy?

A Tantric Journey Sex Therapy is far beneficial than generally perceived. The sex therapy has been able to heal more than 3000 women worldwide. The sex therapy testimonials by Tantric Journey’s clients are lathered with gratitude and immense relief from the taunting issues that haunted these women.  Tantric Journey has allowed many to turn around their lives into a more positive and happy note from a dark and hopeless place.

Women who have never been able to maintain steady or healthy relationships have been able to find life partners and lead happy lives. Couples who have been torn apart from emotional restraint and intimacy issues have been able to reconcile and maintain fruitful relationships. Sex therapy has been able to heal individuals of childhood physical, mental, emotional and sexual abuse. Sex therapy has also allowed victims of domestic violence, toxic relationships and day to day harassments due to social condition untangle themselves away from the mesh of trauma.

Tantric Journey sex therapist performs a clothes on bodywork or a full body oil massage; both employing techniques that harbor the theory of Cellular Memory. The sex therapist London can provide talking therapy to help ease mental constraints and enter a comfort zone to discuss the possible roots of the sexual problem. The Tantric Journey sex therapist is trained on techniques to revert the body’s cells from a negative state to a positive state. The trauma is stored at a cellular level where the slightest touch or tinge will evoke the undesirable feelings that can be very apparent or leave faint nostalgic reminiscence. This is possible as the body’s cells communicate by chemicals. The Tantric Journey sex therapy London evokes these subconscious feelings and has the client ejects it from their system once and for all.

A sex therapist in London can provide psychosexual therapy to help individuals and couples with sexual related problems through counselling, nursing or medicine. Often the sex therapist in London prescribes medicine to help with these issues as talking therapy is not fully capable of resolving the sexual related issues. Often the sex therapist prescribes medicine even for the mildest of sexual related problems such as erectile or climaxing issues.

Chemicals tend to alter the human hormonal functionality and therefore hinder natural functionality. Therefore Tantric Journey’s therapist in London provides a natural treatment on the basis of Cellular Memory where the human body learns to build its own defence mechanism against the sexual related problems. A Tantric Journey’s therapist can offer talking therapy to enter a comfort zone and diagnosis and perform clothes on bodywork or a full body oil massage employing techniques that support Cellular Memory.

Do you suffer sexual intimacy problems?

Why Emotional Detox?

Do you struggle with sexual intimacy problems or self-esteem issues? Read this article I found as help is on hand for those that have these problems. Unlock your full potential with Tantric Journey sex therapy London.

As we pass through the general stages of life our soul tends to collect a lot of debris and dust. It is vital one goes through an emotional detox to be apt and in par with one’s life purposes. In this materialistic new age we are often subjected to superficial materialistic expectations that we are displaced into great distances away from our being. Therefore emotional detox is necessary to wipe away these calluses that build up and block the soul vibrating at its best frequency.  Emotional detox sex therapy tunes the soul to its best frequency and has us vibrating at our optimum.

Like any machinery that requires upkeep and renewal our body requires the same. Detox can come in various forms. As we our own powerhouse architects of our lives it is essential we conduct emotional detox to revive our body. Very often than not we are caught up in the fishnet of life that we pursue our paths and goals but retract to square one.  Emotional detox can help this deflection that one experience.

My understanding of all the treatments conducted, years of study and research is that as human we are human to behave like sponges that can absorb moisture directly or indirectly. And for functionality the sponge has to excrete the excess moisture or the sole purpose of its very existence diminishes. Likewise our emotional detox is vitally essential to excrete the excess.

Emotional detox unfastens what anchors us to one stagnant and repetitive pattern of life. And through my work at Tantric Journey, I unfasten these knots through Deep Body Work for Emotional Release.

I vouch my treatment is vital and effective for the desired vibration and emotional detox, as there is sound confirmation by metaphysics, cellular memory and study of energy.  From one’s wonder /yonder / toddler years one is constantly subjected to various situations both good and bad directly or indirectly as one progress in life. Just like calluses built by hardened skin due to friction these indirect and direct situational factors reside in us. Hence emotional detox is essential to remove toxicity and festered parasitical elements from one’s body. The emotional detox one obtains at Tantric Journey through Deep Body Work for Emotional Release excavates the unpleasant  clogged residue and leaves room for more opportune and mobility.

The crown of it is that one is able to architect and craft one’s life as one desired as the path has been paved and the grime shovelled.

Emotional detox is the key to successful living. If you need any assistance from an experienced sex therapist click here sex therapist London and we can assist you.

What is the Fiat 500X?

The latest car for 2015 is the Fiat expanding 500 range, the 500X is a compact crossover aimed at the Citroen C4 Cactus, Mini Countryman and Nissan Juke.

What is the Fiat 500X?

Fiat 500XFiat 500X takes the styling of the 500 city car and turns it up to 11

The 500X has a supermini-sized footprint and plenty of off-road attitude. Prices at the time of writing range from £14,595 up to nearly £26,000.

Most buyers will opt for a front-wheel-drive 500X in either Pop, Popstar or Lounge spec. However, if you want more rugged styling, the Cross version has bumper skid-plates and a traction-aiding front differential. And, if you really need four-wheel drive, the Cross Plus borrows its 4WD system from the closely-related Jeep Renegade.

The 500X seats five and has a 350-litre boot – bigger than a VW Golf but smaller than most crossover rivals. Its colourful interior features plenty of retro styling cues, including metal-look door handles and body-coloured plastic on the dashboard. All models apart from the basic Pop get a 6.5in touchscreen media system.

Which engines will the Fiat 500X use?

The engine line-up at launch starts with a 109bhp 1.6 petrol. There’s also a 138bhp 1.4 turbo petrol, plus two diesels: a 118bhp 1.6 and a 138bhp 2.0. Only the bigger diesel is available with four-wheel drive at first, although more powerful petrol and diesel models with 4WD will follow soon.

The entry-level 1.6 petrol comes with a five-speed manual gearbox. Most other models get a six-speed manual, but the 2.0 diesel has Fiat’s new nine-speed automatic. Yes, you read that right, nine gears in a small family car…

Why should I buy a Fiat 500X?

Fiat 500XCross Plus versions of the Fiat 500X have four-wheel drive

Fashionable and funky, small crossovers are the must-have cars of the moment. The Nissan Juke has proved that bold, in-your-face styling is no barrier to success, and the ‘500 on steroids’ look of the 500X will tick plenty of buyers’ boxes, too.

You may also appreciate the Fiat’s elevated driving position (somewhere between a car and an SUV) and added versatility of its raised ground clearance. Whether you’re crossing a muddy field or simply negotiating a multi-storey car park, those extra inches can make a big difference.

Lastly, the 500X offers generous interior space, along with practical touches like big door bins and a split-level boot floor.

When is the Fiat 500X on sale?

The 500X hits showrooms in Spring 2015!!

IBS leaders in industrial equipment

Fruitland RCF 250 Vacuum Pump is the smallest of our rotary vane vacuum pumps.  The RCF250LU designates left hand rotation, upper diverter valve with a belt drive pulley. The 250LU series pump is primarily used on trucks servicing light septic and portable toilet applications.

Fruitland RCF 370 Vacuum Pump is a shorter version of the 500 series.  The 370LUF designates left hand rotation, upper diverter valve with a filter box.  The 370 series pumps also use less oil than any other rotary vane pump in the industry.  Applications include those of the 500 series but the 370 utilizes less space.

Fruitland RCF 500 Vacuum Pump Commercial-Duty Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump (also known as Sliding Vane Vacuum Pump) is designed to work in all types of liquid waste handling markets including the Oil and Gas Fracturing Industry, Industrial, Environmental, Grease, and Septic.  Fruitland’s Vacuum Pumps operating environments include temperatures varying from sub-zero to well above 100 degrees. The famous 500 Series Vacuum Pump is primarily installed on Liquid Vacuum Tank Trucks ranging in size from 1000-12000 gallons.

The 500 Series Vacuum Pump features a Heavy –Duty Lubrication System that is designed to allow over 16 operating hours per one gallon of oil (that’s twice the operating hours of our competition!). The 500 Series includes an integral one gallon oil reservoir tank which houses a heavy-duty positive displacement pump. This positive displacement pump strategically pumps oil through four steel lines (as opposed to plastic) into the main body of the Vacuum Pump.

Fruitland RCF 800 Vacuum Pump is a shorter version of the heavy duty RCF1200 vacuum pump.  The RCF800 LU designates Left hand rotation, Upper diverter valve with a belt drive pulley. The 800 series vacuum pump is also used in environmental and heavy duty industrial applications where mounting space is limited.

Raising marquees to greater heights

I meet a lot of people looking to start up a marquee hire business, it is one of the best parts of my job. A lot of people who come in to see me have never worked for themselves and see it as quite an aspiration position. Often the decision has been made to work for themselves long before the idea of marquees came around. And to be honest working for yourself is great, you do have to go in to it with your eyes wide open though and this is something else I often find myself discussing with potential marquee customers.

The first, most important point when starting a new business is having your close family on-board. Getting a business off the ground takes a lot of time, energy and work which would only be rewarded in the medium-long term. It is very difficult to do without the support of those around you. The last thing you want is for your start-up business to seriously affect your relationship (especially if you’ve married in to a family of solicitors and QC’s!).

The pro’s and cons of starting up your own marquee DIY Party Tents for sale or Pop up Marquees for sale for example  (or other) business:

Pros:

  • Greater flexibility
  • Greater job-satisfaction. Not just because the work you’re doing is for yourself rather than some else or an organisation but because most marquee work is making people happy
  • Potentially greater financial reward (it depends on what job you’re giving up of course)
  • Greater involvement in all parts of the business. You may have had a job in marketing but in a start-up you’ll be involved/responsible for every different part of the business.

Cons:

  • Greater responsibility
  • Less financial security (the rewards are potentially greater but there is always the risk of the business not taking off).

And in-between both is a certain blurring of your work/life hours. You can often do non-work things during work time but then you’ll often have to do work related out of hours.

Working for yourself or working in a small business can be a culture shock but ultimately a move most people view well worth it.

A good friend of mine went from working in a huge multinational to a small start-up business. On the second day he was shocked to be told to drop everything as a photocopier had arrived downstairs (they were on the 5th floor) and everyone had to go down and lift it up the stairs. But this is what happens in a small business, everyone has to be prepared to be involved in any part of the business (manual handling or otherwise).

We are always happy to discuss any ideas you may have in starting up your own marquee hire business (or even helping an existing one), we have a lot of experience both in having done it ourselves and in helping many many others over the years.

Bespoke Memorials & Headstones from Lodge Brothers

Lodge Brothers funeral directors throughout the UK including funeral directors Woking and funeral directors Englefield Green are so committed to the community they found Christmas an exceptionally exciting time to celebrate with the community sharing poems, candle light services, remembrance services to ensure your loved ones are not forgotten, I found some interesting articles which demonstrates their commitment and support including their dedicated staff.

Helen Kempster Celebrates 10 years of Service at Lodge Brothers

Helen Kempster, the Funeral Arranger at Chertsey branch, recently celebrated a decade of service with Lodge Brothers. Helen joined the Company in December 2004, and after three months training she took over the running of the branch in Chertsey. Over the years she has become a well-known member of the local community.

After 37 years’ service working for HSBC bank in the city of London, Helen retired and sought a new direction. She now lives in Hampshire and so has a 45-minute commute to Chertsey, but makes the trip daily to support her families in their ‘hours of need’.

“This is the best job I have ever had,” Helen explains, “and Lodge Brothers funeral directors Chertsey are a super company to work for. Here’s to the next ten years!”

Another interesting articles about Lodge Brothers Funeral Directors Ashford held their annual Christmas Memorial and Thanksgiving Service recently.

The service, which took place at St Matthew’s Church on Sunday 14th December, was attended by over 180 people who have experienced bereavement in recent months. They came along to remember their loved ones, give thanks and light a candle in a moving hour-long service led by Father Stuart King and arranged by Lodge Brothers’ District Manager, Richard Leachman.

St Matthew’s Church choir sang, ably led by organist Philip Buckmaster, and local musician Robert Goodhew played a beautiful piece on his saxophone.

Afterwards, refreshments were served by Lodge Brothers’ staff.

“This service is always a highlight of our community’s Christmas” said Mr Leachman. “To remember those we have loved and lost is particularly poignant at this time of year. Many people thanked us with tears in their eyes, grateful for the opportunity to keep alive the memory of their loved ones, for no-one is ever truly gone while there are those who remember them with thankfulness in their hearts.” “It was such a fitting end to a long life well-lived”.
